However, rest assured the X-Men TV series would have its fill of mutants. In fact, it will even launch a new character named Eclipse.
X-Men TV Series Casts Eclipse
Eclipse is the mutant counterpart of Marcos Diaz. X-Men TV series cast Sean Teale in the role. Deadline describes the character and gives insight into his power.
“A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe.”
Teale recently appeared in the one season SyFy series Incorporated from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. He started in the British series Skins and went on to appear in The CW’s Reign season 2 as Conde and in ITV/PBS’ Mr. Selfridge season 2 as Franco.
Nix teased early on about the creation of new X-Men universe characters for the TV series. Moreover, he assures the connections to the existing mythology are also there.
Natalie Alyn Lind Also Joins X-Men TV Series Cast
Variety reports Natalie Alyn Lind is the next new series regular for the X-Men TV show. The iZombie and Gotham (Silver St. Cloud) alum will play the role of Lauren, one of Reed’s (Moyer) children.
Lauren is reportedly the epitome of a perfect kid. She is smart, pretty, and of course, popular. It would appear she has her whole life planned out for herself as she is supposedly ahead on her college applications. Hence, suddenly having mutant powers could greatly affect her future plans.
