WWE Elimination Chamber 2017

Results of the WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 show a significant upset for headliner John Cena. Hence, the birth of a new star to challenge Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 33.

Many speculated Royal Rumble 2017 winner Randy Orton would come face to face with John Cena this April. However, the odds were not in Cena’s favor this time around.

Alas, the 16-time world champion lost at the recently concluded WWE Elimination Chamber 2017. Bray Wyatt managed to eliminate him and the rest to capture the title and secure his place at Wrestlemania 33, the Mirror writes.

Early predictions marked Bray Wyatt or AJ Styles as the likely opponent of Randy Orton. According to CBS Sports, Wyatt’s win would be the 11th time a champion was unable to defend his title in the last 19 elimination chamber matches.

New Smackdown Women’s Champion

The WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 outcome was not the only surprise of the event. As it turns out, the SmackDown Women’s championship match yielded a new victor.

This time around, Naomi bested and captured the title from Alexa Bliss in what the A.V. Club described as a fun match. The action between the two women was quick. Yet it was equally furious as the other matches at the event.

However, the true gem of their match came afterward when the crowd chanted in favor of the new champion. Hence, a tearful display from a visibly emotional Naomi. As it turns out, she won the title in her hometown of Orlando, Florida.

Naomi has been on the main roster since 2012. However, this is her first singles’ belt win to date. Hence, it would certainly add greater interest to the women’s division in the future.

Randy Orton Defeats Luke Harper

Royal Rumble 2017 winner Randy Orton won over Luke Harper. Then again, there was little doubt as to who would win this particular match.

Nonetheless, Harper gave it his all. Moreover, it seemed he was able to show the WWE bosses he has what it takes to be a key player in the league. Future SmackDown events might consider Harper as a legitimate single star.

In the end, the Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt had a stare down from across the WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 location. Hence, fueling their upcoming match up at Wrestlemania 33.
