WrestleMania 33 promises to be yet another big event given the matches lined up for it.
Although it is still months away until April 2, fans seem to have a lot to look forward to already. Indeed, the anticipated matchups teased for the upcoming event promise a lot of action.
To date, three matches seem certain. These are Goldberg versus Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns versus Braun Strowman, and John Cena versus The Undertaker.
A change in plans for WrestleMania 33
However, changes in the original plans for the upcoming event seem to be in the works. Thus, fans longing for their WrestleMania 33 dream matches could see their wishes come true. Dave Meltzer hinted at possible changes during the post-Raw edition on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“There’s been an overhaul of aspects of the WrestleMania card in the last couple days, but I don’t know what’s the new card. A lot of the stuff that was going to happen, is not going to happen, and they’re redoing a lot of the stuff right now.”
In light of these developments, Blake Oestriecher of Forbes gave his WrestleMania 33 predictions. The names of some earlier certainties remain on the list. However, there are several interesting additions as well.
1. Roman Reigns versus Goldberg
WWE teased about this particular matchup on Raw. However, the chances of it becoming a reality is uncertain at this point. Then again, it might do well to boost Reigns reputation as the league’s new golden boy after John Cena.
2. Baron Corbin versus John Cena or AJ Styles
Speaking of John Cena, he is due to battle Baron Corbin at SmackDown. The outcome could influence plans for WrestleMania 33. Yet there is also the possibility Corbin ends up facing Styles for the WWE Championship.
3. Bayley vs. Stephanie McMahon
4. Goldberg versus Braun Strowman
Other than Roman Reigns, Goldberg could also face Braun Strowman. Indeed, both wrestlers are getting the push they need from WWE. Their recent encounter at Raw could prove worthy of a bigger audience.
5. Kevin Owens versus Goldberg or Brock Lesnar
Stay tuned for more updates on WrestleMania 33.
