The Veronica Mars revival is almost a sure thing. However, a number of challenges stand in its way. Nonetheless, series creator Rob Thomas and lead star Kristen Bell seem intent to make it happen, eventually.
Indeed, fans of the Veronica Mars mystery series might have something to look forward to. The fact Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas are talking about it could suggest things are in motion.
Then again, can their enthusiasm help them overcome the challenges to come along the way? Get to know the challenges bombarding them.
Series Creator Teases Veronica Mars Revival
“Kristen and I both want to figure out some way we could do a six-episode Veronica Mars mystery. If I were a betting man, I bet that it will happen. I just don’t know when it will be,” TVLine quoted Thomas at the TCA winter press tour recently.
Then again, the series creator is also the first to admit it is somewhat of an uphill battle. Although it would appear, he and the actress are willing to meet the challenges head on for the Veronica Mars TV revival to push through.
“We need to find a window where we could both do it. When actors are on network shows, most standard contracts will give them outs for, like, one episode a year of guest-starring. But then there are also sometimes outs if you’re doing something that is non-competitive. Would NBC consider a Veronica Mars thing on, like, Netflix non-competitive? We have not figured that out yet,” Thomas said.
“Also, I’m developing Lost Boys. If those things weren’t happening, we might be closer to a Veronica Mars [continuation]. The Good Place, I think, is going to be on NBC for a while.”
“And if Lost Boys goes, finding that window will be tricky. But we both want to do it,” Thomas added. Indeed, Veronica Mars is not one to stand down from any challenge.
The Good Place with Kristen Bell
To date, Kristen Bell is busy with The Good Place. Caroline Franke of Vox hails the NBC sitcom as one of the most ambitious to date on television. Every week of the series promised something interesting for audiences, be it good or bad.
The network has yet to order season 2 of The Good Place. Although NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke did reveal the network loves the show. Moreover, it is excited about it, Deadline revealed.
