Milo Ventimiglia is not only advising viewers to watch the This is Us finale with a love one or a puppy. He also warns fans to prepare boxes of Kleenex.

Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson) earlier shared an advice to fans on how they could cope up with more emotional scenes this season – get a puppy. Mandy Moore (Rebecca Pearson), on the other hand, teased that the This is Us finale will “destroy America.”

Now, Ventimiglia said viewers will have to prepare tons of Kleenex as the finale of the ABC drama will be both emotional and stressful. He said at the Build Series interview with The Huffington Post:

“Get ready. Get yourself a watching buddy, get some food, which you probably won’t eat. I don’t know, maybe you want a warm blanket or a puppy. Kleenex, probably mandatory. And yeah, get ready, it’s going to be a little stressful.”

In the previous episode, Rebecca pursued her singing career and goes on tour with her band. This made Jack turn to alcohol to deal with his marital problems.

Ventimiglia explained that Jack’s life is his wife and kids and they hold him together. But once one of these falls after, Jack’s life will start to unravel.

At the end of episode 17, drunk Jack gets into his car and drives off. He called his daughter Kate from the road. Jack told her that he is going to make things right with her mother.

Meanwhile, present-day Kate (Chrissy Metz) told Toby (Chris Sullivan) that she is the reason why her father is dead. This left fans wondering if Jack will die in a car crash.

Ventimiglia hinted that Jack’s fate will finally be revealed in the This Is Us finale. The actor acknowledged how eager fans would like to know what caused Jack’s demise. He told Entertainment Weekly that fans might find some answers before season 1 is over.

Jack Pearson After This is Us Finale

Ventimiglia also assured that although his character will die soon, fans will still see Papa Pearson. He told The Huffington Post:

“Even though when you do find out how and when and why Jack died, it doesn’t mean that the character is gone or I’m gone, its just you shift direction and tell a different story. He [creator Dan Fogelman] equates it to having a family album ― you open up to a random page and you just start telling a story based on that photo.”

This is Us finale airs on Tuesday, March 14 at 9 p.m. in NBC.
