Fans of the series are likely to see new faces come on board for Once Upon a Time season 7. Guest stars introduced in the season 6 finale could be regulars.
TV Line reports two new characters will appear as guest stars in the May finale of Once Upon a Time. Could their addition to the cast be a sign of ABC’s intention to push the reset button on the fairy tale television series?
Fear remains high for the fate of Once Upon a Time season 7. To date, ABC has yet to give the green light for it to push through.
Alas, the season 6 finale is already in May. Moreover, the contracts of some of its key cast members like Jennifer Morrison ends in April.
Once Upon a Time Season 7 Reset Rumors
Rumors of a reset happening in Once Upon a Time season 7 are abuzz. Indeed, the recent comment of ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey seems to suggest a new direction is likely should the network decide to renew. Dungey told Entertainment Weekly last January:
“[Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis] would be looking for the seventh season to be a springboard in a new direction from a narrative standpoint, which doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re not bringing cast back, it’s just how do you kind of hit the reset button in a way that gives you opportunity to expand the stories that we’re telling?”
Hence, is a major cast shake-up underway in preparation for Once a Upon a Time season 7? This remains uncertain to date. However, the entry of two guest stars who might become series regulars should the series return could be the start of changes to come.
Once Upon a Time Season 7 Characters
Two new characters will reportedly debut in the May finale of OUAT. The first is a man in his late 20s to mid 30s who is a strong yet vulnerable leading man. Previously an optimist, he now lives as a cynical outsider. Yet his deep-seated optimism could be rekindled if the right person came along.
The second describes a bright young girl who is about ten years of age who has a touch of naughtiness in her. The struggles of coming from a broken home have made her stronger. The character is strong enough to handle threats against what she holds dear.
