Tom Hardy is interested in playing the James Bond role after all.
The Taboo actor finally gave out a hint that he would like to play the iconic role on the big screen. However, Hardy expressed his interested in a rather reserved manner.
In an interview with the Daily Beast, Hardy showed the enthusiasm of playing the role when asked how would he feel if director Christopher Nolan will take over the helm on the next Bond movie.
“Oh, wow, Chris would be amazing! Wow, that would be cool. That would be so cool,” he said. Nolan and Hardy worked together in the movie Inception.
When further pressed on the matter, the Mad Max: Fury Road actor avoided the question by making reference to the silence among the actors who are also rumored to replace Daniel Craig. “There’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting. That if you talk about it you’re automatically out of the race. So I can’t possibly comment on that one! If I mention it, it’s gone.” Hardy said.
On a different note, Craig had previously stressed that he has no interest in playing the James Bond role after Spectre. He even said he would rather slash his wrist than doing another 007 film.
