The train of The Walking Dead episodes might run until 2021. The show’s creator, Robert Kirkman, would want the series to have at least five more seasons. So, how will the story of the zombie apocalypse end like?
So far, the show is currently in the middle of its seventh season. Yet, the viewers might expect the thriller series to run its course until Season 12.
TWD Team Confident to Make It Until Season 12
Previously, The Walking Dead episodes have experienced a decline in ratings in the United States while remaining strong in the United Kingdom. But that might not be difficult for the show to revive its glory.
Kirkman revealed recently that going to Season 12 would be amazing and the story will still be on point as in the comic book. “It won’t take us 6 years to get to 200 and that will take us to season … TWELVE. And we’ll STILL be ahead of the show at that point,” Digital Spy quotes.
“And if the show is still going strong at season 12 … well, that would be about the most amazing thing ever … so we’ll all be too busy celebrating to worry about anything,” the creator added.
Additionally, showrunner Scott Gimple hinted that the next The Walking Dead episodes will have a new approach to storytelling. He revealed that the structure of the first eight vibes will be different from the remaining ones.
Will Negan Die?
What lies ahead of the remaining characters? The next chapter might reveal Negan’s death, as per Pop Wrapped. The blog speculates some of the events or tools that can take the villain out of the picture.
One thing that could kill him is King Ezekiel’s tiger. Should the speculation happen, he will let his pet on the loose in order to kill Negan.
On the other hand, it is also possible that some members of the crew will take a sweet revenge on him. But how will it turn out? They might hold an epic one-on-one showdown with the Lucille owner.
The death of Glenn during the first chapter of the season must have been a shocker to the viewers. But the expectations surrounding The Walking Dead episodes in the future could be as twisted as the previous one.
The show will return to small screens on AMC on February 12 in the US and to Fox on February 13 in the UK.
