The Office season 10 became the recent talk of the town after Steve Carell made a joke about the series’ return. However, it seems like fans do not have any plans to take it as a joke.
Carell, former The Office star, said on Twitter that the franchise will be returning on NBC. Unfortunately, he corrected in another tweet that it was a typo and he was talking about the show Will and Grace, Entertainment Weekly reported. Will and Grace returns to the network this year.
As expected, his ‘typo’ tweet took social media by storm. The 54-year-old actor was known for portraying the role of Michael Scott. The series featured him for seven seasons.
In addition, though Scott was considered as incompetent, his character was described as a humble Regional Manager of Dundler Mifflin’s Scranton Division. Also, Carell was nominated six times for the said character and won a Golden Globe Award.

On the other hand, Steve Carell eventually left the show and it went on for two more seasons. After that, the show wrapped up for season 9 in 2013.
Carell later on found plenty of opportunities since his departure from the show. He earned Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for Foxcatcher. Aside from that, his break on the big screen for The Big Short also earned him a Golden Globe nod.
No talks about The Office season 10 exist for now. While fans might not be completely laughing about Carell’s joke, his Office co-star B.J. Novak was reminded of Carell’s role. According to Bravo, the 37-year-old actor said, “That was a very Michael Scott move of him, I think.”
Novak played Ryan Howard in The Office. He shared the statement during his interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Furthermore, it has been reported that The Office season 10 might not be returning anytime soon. However, there is a huge chance for the British adaptation’s comeback.
