The Mick is the recently launched comedy series of Fox. And after its successful premiere ratings, the network made some progress for the show.
According to Deadline, the show was first released on Jan. 1, 2017. Fox reportedly set a special schedule for the single-camera comedy after the series’ Live +3 ratings were released last Friday. As per the mentioned outlet, it gained a modest +25 percent bump resulting to a solid 3.5 rating for its debut. This was from the demographic with ages 18 to 49-years-old.

In addition, the Fox series’ opener also gained 2.8 rating (18-49). The show ties with NBC’s breakout drama This Is Us. Both shows had the highest rated L+SD in their premiere as new series this season.
Another achievement for this latest American sitcom is ranking in the no. 2 spot. This is behind the first episode of The Good Place with 3.6 rating. Not mention the fact that the latter was a back to back one-hour long episode, which puts Mick in the first place.
But overall, the said series’ is considered in third or fourth place among all new shows as far as L+3 demo is concerned. On a brighter note, it became Fox’s highest live-action comedy series premiere since the network’s best card New Girl in 2011.
Moreover, Kaitlin Olson’s series also gains an average of 10.9 million viewers, says The Hollywood Reporter. Aside from New Girl, it also outpaces another Fox live action premiere from years ago titled Last Man on Earth. This has given so much delight for the sleepless nights of Fox’s executives.
As per the latter source, the series stars Olson. Her character is described as an unapologetic degenerate. Suddenly, she finds herself stuck in raising her niece.
Furthermore, another episode of the series will be launched on Jan. 15, 2017. It will be followed by The Simpsons’ one-hour long episode and Family Guy’s new episode. The latter will reportedly feature a guest voice from New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski. Basically, this will be a sandwich day for The Mick as it airs between the two shows! Fans must definitely watch out.
