Supergirl season 2 episode 12 featured Alex’s confession of her relationship with Maggie to their closest friends. This was after being wholeheartedly accepted by Kara and their mom. James Olsen, J’onn J’onzz, Winn Schott and especially Mon-El took the couple with open arms.
The previous episodes of Supergirl already showed Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Detective Maggie Sawyer’s (Floriana Lima) blossoming relationship. Though they have made quite a unique pair, it finally made sense why Alex has not been in a relationship since season 1.
The scene showing Alex coming out to her friends appeared in a clip shared by Comic Book. The gang is waiting for Alex and her “mystery man” to arrive. However, Winn (Jermey Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) were momentarily shocked to see her arrive with Maggie, who Alex immediately introduced as her girlfriend.
The only one not surprised by the revelation was J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood). He already knew before because he is psychic.
However, Daxamite Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) reaction was the most adorable. He was surprised because people on Earth think it was an issue for two women to be in a relationship. He immediately quips that “the more, the merrier.”
Alex also expressed her appreciation for J’onn J’onzz for not saying anything though he knew about her sexual orientation all along. The gang went on to enjoy the night.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly already detailed before that Supergirl‘s Valentine’s Day episode will center on Maggie and Alex. Fans will have to wait a week longer for the couple-centric episode. The Hearts Day-themed chapter debuts on February 20.
