Deadline exclusively revealed that actress Shannon Purser landed the title role in Sierra Burgess is a Loser. The source extensively describes the film as follows:

“The movie centers on a case of mistaken identity that results in unexpected romance when the most popular girl in high school and the biggest loser must come together to win over their crushes. Ian Samuels will helm the film, with a script from Lindsey Beer. At this point, there’s no release date attached to the film yet. Other names involved in the project include Me, Earl and the Dying Girl‘s RJ Cyler and X-Men Apocalypse‘s Ben Hardy.

What’s next for Stranger Things season 2

Despite Barb’s absence, more new characters will make their debut in the second season. Newcomers joining the Netflix series include Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, and Linnea Berthelsen. It’s not yet clear how these new characters fit in the narrative of the second season. However, the official trailer for season 2 revealed that events of the upcoming season takes place a year after the first one.

The season one finale left audiences wondering where Eleven went after defeating the Demogorgon. The episode also showed that there’s something really weird going on with Will. At the last minute, the young boy was seemingly transported to the Upside Down for a split second, followed by him spitting out a slug-like creature.

There’s no concrete release date for the second season yet. However, if season one serve as basis, season 2 could also drop some time in July.
