Stranger Things Season 2 will be returning to confound audiences once more. The summer hit has been picked up for another season by Netflix. Fans hope that some of their questions about Eleven will finally be answered and perhaps, more importantly, the question on whether Barb will finally get some justice.
iTech Post recently broke down some of the news surrounding the show. The site reported that Stranger Things Season 2 will have nine episodes. It will air in 2017, at approximately the same date as the first season. What is more, the original cast will return, including fan-favorite Eleven.
Eleven Returns to Stranger Things
The news that Millie Bobby Brown will be reprising her role as the telekinetic Eleven had fans rejoicing. After all, the character was the heart of Stranger Things Season 2. Her apparent sacrifice to stop the demogorgon had fans bemoaning her fate. Luckily, the Duffer brothers had apparently found a way to bring the character back.
Aside from Brown, fans can also expect to see Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo reprise their roles in Stranger Things Season 2. Viewers will also be seeing more of Noah Schnapp’s Will as he struggles to return to normalcy after his time in the Upside Down. New characters are also set to be introduced, including a young girl named Roman, who is mysteriously connected to the supernatural events from last season.
There is very little information about what will Season 2’s story arc be. What is certain is that fans will be seeing some justice for Barb. But as Matt Duffer previously revealed, it will happen off-camera.
Netflix has already released the upcoming season’s episode titles, prompting fans to start speculating on what they mean in relation to the series. While the Duffer brothers admitted that they are hints on what to expect next season, they are also not giving anything away. Fans will just have to do things the hard way and wait for Stranger Things Season 2 to return in 2017.
