Stranger Things season 2 cast member David Harbour dropped spoilers for the show’s avid followers. Though the production team is so tight-lipped when it comes to the series’ possible storyline, the actor played it cool and teased something about Barb, Joyce, and the plot.
Stranger Things Season 2 Cast David Harbour on What Fans Could Expect
In the recent Fan2Sea Comic Con cruise last January 21, Harbour laid out some clues on what to expect this coming season. The actor appeared alongside Shannon Purser, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Randall Havens, Catherine Dyer and series Art Director Bill Davis.
According to HollywoodLife.com, the 41-year-old actor shared that fans will get to see Joyce Byers, played by Winona Ryder, have a boyfriend this season “much to the chagrin of the Chief of Police.” Sean Astin will play the unnamed role. He was a former classmate of Hopper and Joyce.
Moreover, the Stranger Things season 2 cast member also hinted the effect of Barb’s death to the characters, especially to Nancy (Natalia Dyer). The actor revealed that a “Justice for Barb” scheme will be part of the sequel. Though the upcoming episodes will not feature Purser, Harbour says that she will still be in everyone’s hearts.
When it comes to Nancy, the actor revealed some insight. “The question and the feelings that Nancy has that no one ever cares about her friend Barb, are very much present in the beginning of the season.” Meanwhile for the storyline setup, Harbour revealed that “it’s a year later in the story.”
On the other hand, in another report from Vanity Fair, Noah Schnapp (William Byers) hinted something about his character’s fate. In his interview, he seems to confirm that William may or may not turn into a monster. He also revealed that unlike in season 1, fans will get to see more of Will this time.
