Emotional stress bombarded Barb’s fans after her death in Stranger Things. That scene where her body was seen full of web-like saliva and slug (coming out from her mouth) was particularly unforgettable.
Her fate in the show tops as one of the most talked about story arc in the series. Though some are still hoping for her comeback, Millie Bobby Brown and The Duffer Brothers confirmed she is truly dead. Hence, all heads turned to her new project — Riverdale.
Stranger Things Barb Actress on Riverdale – What We Know
Barb’s death is final, so what’s next for the actress? Fans will see more of Shannon Purser on The CW’s Archie comics-inspired show, Riverdale.
According to reports, Purser will play the role of Ethel Muggs. She has a romantic relationship with Jughead Jones, played by Dylan Sprouse.
It seems like Purser’s character will play a major part in Jughead’s story arc. However, like what Cinema Blend noted, the twists and turns The CW made for the new show makes it impossible to predict what will happen to Ethel.
Confirmation recently surfaced that the Stranger Things Barb actress will appear in the third episode of the series. She will receive a guest star credit.
