Shooter Season 2 is the upcoming season of USA Network’s TV show. After the positive rating of this TV series last season, Season 2 aims to meet the viewers’ expectations.
The first season of Shooter was scheduled on July 29. However, it was postponed due to what happened in Dallas, the real-world shootings. In line with this unexpected tragedy, the show has been delayed for a couple of months and was officially aired on Nov. 15, 2016.
Shooter Season 2 Announced
Meanwhile, the actor and producer of this series, Ryan Phillippe, will still play his character as Bob Lee Swagger for Shooter Season 2. This is alongside other former characters. Joining him are Shantel VanSanten as Julie Swagger and Omar Epps as Isaac Johnson. The first season has six episodes. It was not yet announced if there will be more than six episodes this upcoming season.
Originally, this TV show was inspired by the best-selling novel of Stephen Hunter, Point of Impact, and the 2007 film of the same title. The idea of making the series came from executives producers Stephen Levinson, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Wahlberg.
According to TV Series Finale, as the first season ended this year with the fifth episode, Shooter had an average of 0.47 from ages 28-49. In totality, the audience of Shooter reached 1.406 million. Moreover, it followed the Top 1 USA’s scripted series, Suits.
Shooter Season 2 will continue the journey of Bob Lee Swagger. He portrays a man who wants to prevent a plot of killing the President. In addition, he is also a man who wants to clear his name and protect his family. The scheduled date for the upcoming season has not been officially announced. But for the dedicated viewers of Shooter Season 1, midseason finale will be aired on Dec. 27, 2016.
