Drew Barrymore plays Sheila in the Santa Clarita Diet series. She is a wife, mother, and a real estate agent. Sheila works alongside her husband Joel played by Timothy Olyphant. They have a teenage daughter Abby played by Liv Hewson.
The surprising twist to what seems to be a normal life is Sheila is a zombie. One fateful day she woke up and found herself as one of the undead.
While others might find this sudden change of lifestyle depressing, Sheila appears better off than before, according to WIRED. A fact she happily tells her husband about in the preview.
“I do like the way that I feel. I have endless energy and I sleep two hours a night. I get so much done,” Drew Barrymore as Sheila said.
In response, Joel states the obvious flaw to her current situation about eating people. However, it does not seem to bother her.
“I know, it’s just that I’m so much more confident. I can parallel park in one move now,” she added. Interestingly, Joel chooses to support his wife in her newfound life. Hence, their resolve to kill only people who deserve it.
