US network Fox released the latest trailer for Prison Break Season 5, which teased that Michael Scofield is very much alive and is behind bars in a different country. Is Michael the same noble guy now as he used to be in the past?

Everyone thought that Michael Scofield was dead. In fact, followers of Prison Break Season 5 have many queries related to how Wentworth Miller’s character could be alive now. And why is he imprisoned?

Show Creator Gets Candid about Michael Scofield

According to a report from International Business Times AU Edition, the creators and cast of the series got an opportunity to answer some of the questions raised by the viewers during the TV Critics’ Association press tour. They said that the upcoming season will be able to come up with all the explanations the fans are looking for.

The show creator Paul T. Scheuring shared, “Michael doesn’t just come out of the fates (as) the noble hero. He added, “The question is, ‘Who is this guy? Has he been compromised? Is he even Michael? Was he the Michael that we knew all along?’ — And that’s one of the central things that runs through the course of the season.”

The creator also hinted that there is a possibility that Michael may not be a good man now. These answers are adequate to appreciate that Season 5 will be packed with excitement and enigma.

The trailer showcases how many of the original cast members learn that Michael is behind bars in the Middle East in the midst of a civil war. Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) go all the way to the Middle East to meet him. Linc tells Michel, “We’re gonna get you out of here.”

But how did Michael reach so far off? And what could be the reason for his sudden appearance so far off? Perhaps, these questions will be also answered in the new season.

The new season of Prison Break is also supposed to reason what Michael was doing during those last seven years. Interestingly, Scheuring shared with Entertainment Weekly that the new season is inspired by the story of “Odyssey.”

Now Michael has a tough task ahead. He needs to escape from the prison and travel great distances to reunite with his wife and a son who he did not see for years.

Prison Break Season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, April 4 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
