The Kardashians may have a reason to rejoice, now that the French authorities have charged four suspects in the Kim Kardashian robbery in Paris. More charges are to follow, according to the latest reports.
The robbery took place in an upscale private apartment in which Kardashian was staying during the Paris Fashion Week in October 2016. The case received high media attention and led Kardashian to retire from the public eye for months.
Four Suspects Charged in Kim Kardashian Robbery in Paris
According to reports, the robbers forced their way into the private apartment and tied up the reality star before making off with jewelry worth more than $10 million. Authorities at the time said they suspect the involvement of an insider in the robbery.
Yunice A, 63, is one of the suspects according to the Paris prosecutors. On Thursday, the prosecutors filed charges of armed robbery in an organized gang, criminal association, and kidnapping against him.
Florus H, a 44-year-old suspect, is facing complicity charges in the alleged robbery case along with a preliminary criminal association charge.
Preliminary charges of handling stolen goods and criminal association were filed against a third suspect, Marceau B, 64.
All three suspects are currently in detention. But, 27-year-old Gary M has been released and will be under judicial supervision. He is facing complicity charges and preliminary criminal association charges, the Guardian reported. Authorities have detained six other people, who are awaiting charges.
Police Previously Identified Six Suspects
Us Weekly reported, policemen had previously identified six individuals related to the Kim Kardashian robbery case.
Of the six individuals, five were robbers and the sixth one was an accomplice, who waited outside to drive them away after the robbery. The sixth suspect was, reportedly, the son of one of the robbers.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star led a low profile following the incident. However, she now seems to be slowly moving on and is currently in Dubai. She is in the country for a make-up tutorial class, which went on to mark her first official public appearance post-robbery.
The robbery has caused a major damage to the image of Paris. The incident happened at a time when it was still recovering from the trauma of the terror attacks.
