Major Highlights of Season 3
Though the book does not say so, Outlander Season 3 may start with the famous Battle of Culloden. Jamie (Sam Heughan) is expected to have a face off with Jack (Tobias Menzies) during the war. Ronald D. Moore, the showrunner feels though the scene does not get featured in Voyager, it made sense to include the sequence in the upcoming season.
According to International Business Times, when Season 2 ended, there was a time jump of two decades. Now, the viewers will get an opportunity to catch up with what happened during those years. Perhaps, they will see how Jamie and Claire spent their time while being away from each other,
But Claire might not travel back in time quite soon. This is a possibility since the actress had shared that she and Heughan often shot separately for the new season.
In the month of November, Balfe told Vanity Fair that though strange but it was also nice that she could act together with Tobias.
Viewers may also see more of Frank in season 3. Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander series said that the third season will explore the relationship of the two protagonists deeper than what is mentioned in her third book.
The reunion scene of Jamie and Claire are loved by the readers and the sequence will also feature in the TV adaptation. Heughan had tweeted that they have filmed the famous print shop scene in December.
