Once Upon a Time season 7 may introduce a reset button, especially with the cast. It seems like Robert Carlyle’s role as Rumple is one of the characters at risk.
According to Digital Spy, earlier reports revealed how Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis plan on a major change for season 7, which may lead to cast exits. It can be remembered that OUAT cast member Jennifer Morrison–who portrays Emma Swan–already expressed she doesn’t have it in her to be in the show forever.
In line with this, Morrison explained that her contract ends in April. On the other hand, Carlyle mentioned in the earlier source that by the end of the month he might also need to make some tough decisions.
However, he explained that these decisions he will be making is not only for himself but also for his family. Of course, OUAT without their characters is quite unimaginable.
“I have been out in Vancouver, Canada [where OUAT films] for the last eight years. My children love it out there, they go to school there and they have got friends there. I really have to think about them most, more than I have to think about me.”
Meanwhile, there is still plenty of time to enjoy OUAT season 6. Fans of the show will be seeing Disney Princesses being reunited. Ariel will team up with Princess Jasmine and might possibly feature the series’ first musical.
Once Upon a Time season 7 May Not Feature Robert Carlyle But a Movie Will
The 55-year-old actor unveiled to DJ Mag that Trainspotting 3 could be on the way. He mentioned this during the premiere of T2: Trainspotting at Edinburgh.
Carlyle portrays the role of Begbie and the film releases on January 27. The story takes inspiration from Irvine Welsh’s novel Porno.
Hence, even though Carlyle won’t potentially be with Once Upon a Time season 7, it appears the actor will still be busy with other commitments. The series continues its sixth season this March.
