NCIS Los Angeles season 8, episode 15 (“Payback”) aired Feb. 19 on CBS. It brings back Elizabeth Bogush as Joelle Taylor, who turns out to be (spoiler alert) a CIA agent. Meanwhile, the late actor Miguel Ferrer lives on as Owen Granger in the show’s latest episode.

NCIS Los Angeles Season 8, Episode 15 Spoilers: ‘Payback’

Changes in the plot are expected in the next few episodes of NCIS LA season 8. Miguel Ferrer has passed on, so fans are bracing themselves for Granger’s final scenes in the series. Fans are guessing Owen’s character is not likely to be given to another actor. For now, however, NCIS Assistant Director Owen Granger is in stable condition. He remains in the hospital after being stabbed by a CIA operative.

Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) could not believe his ex-girlfriend’s betrayal. He reminds Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) that his romance with Joelle started because of his NCIS LA friends. Hanna says they have all been fooled.

The whole arc involving CIA’s attacks on NCIS LA is still open. It has not been put to rest. CIA Officer Vostanik Sabatino (Erik Palladio) has escaped. Even though Sullivan a.k.a. CIA Officer Ferris (Kurt Yaeger) is now dead, the mole is still out there. Meanwhile, Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) has killed Sullivan. But the best news from this episode: Special Agent Kensi Blye is truly back.

NCIS LA 8×15: Meet A.J. Chegwidden

NCIS LA 8×15 also introduces A.J. Chegwidden (John M. Jackson), a good friend of Hetty (Linda Hunt). It also appears he will re-appear for more episodes to help the team end the mess with CIA.

“Payback” was written by Jordana Lewis Jaffe and directed by Terrence O’Hara. The episode received a lot of positive reviews from Twitter users who live-tweeted the episode. See some of the tweets below.

In the next episode (“Old Tricks”), Callen confronts his father about his illegal activities. According to The Futon Critic, Daniel J. Travanti returns in NCIS LA 8×16 as Garrison, Callen’s dad.

NCIS Los Angeles season 8 episode 16 will air on CBS on March 5. There will be no new episode next Sunday, Feb. 26.
