Matt LeBlanc Talks about His Role in Man with a Plan Season 1

The former Friends star Matt LeBlanc plays the character of Adam Burns in the Man with a Plan TV show. The actor describes his alter ego as a good man and a good father. Indeed, Adam misses their days as a couple before the kids came. He misses the spontaneity.

However, he understands the responsibilities of fatherhood. Moreover, he loves his kids and would do anything for them. Jackie and Jeff Filgo are the creators of the CBS freshman comedy series. To date, audiences and fans still identify him as Joey from Friends. Thus, would Man with a Plan season 1 achieve the same level of success?

“Since I’ve come back to a multi-cam format, the character has a little bit of Joey from ‘Friends,’ a little bit of me, a little bit of other friends of mine that have kids and the stories I hear about them. He’s this guy who is struggling to keep the ship afloat,” LeBlanc told the Manila Standard.

“His wife wants to go back to work now that the littlest one is going to school full-time. I’m my own boss; I run a construction company with my brother. The two of us are in a position where I can kind of adjust my schedule to help my wife who wants to go back to work. I think that’s kind of fun,” the actor added.

Initially, Man with a Plan season 1 premiered with an order for 13 episodes. Soon after, it received an extension in November. To date, the addition of three episodes makes for a total of 22.
