MacGyver actor George Eads reveals more about his co-star Lucas Till in the classic TV series reboot. Read on to find out secrets about his co-star and the show.
According to Eads, he and Till have formed a brotherly bond since they started working together for the CBS show. In fact, the two live together along with Eads’ nephew who works as their assistant. The former CSI actor told Stuff that despite their age difference, he and Till have a lot in common.
Eads, 49, was already confirmed to join the new show even before Till, 26, was cast. Their on-screen team up was brokered by their common agent.
The new MacGyver premiered in September 2016 and now is on its 14th episode. Till plays the lead character Angus “Mac” MacGyver, while Eads portrays MacGyver’s partner in the field and a former Delta Force soldier, Jack Dalton. In the original ’80s series, Richard Dean Anderson played the lead role, while Bruce McGill portrayed Jack Dalton.
Eads further shares about his work on the show. “Lucas had done all his own stuff in his movies. I hadn’t really done that much action but I was like, ‘If he’s going to do, I’ll do it’,” he said. He added Till is also patient in learning some of MacGyver‘s more unique skills.
“We worked in one of those escape rooms and I got so bored, I sat in the middle of the room and almost fell asleep while Lucas worked out how to get us out,” said the MacGyver actor.
MacGyver Season 1 Episode 14 Preview
Till and Eads’ partnership off and on screen continues as their MacGyver characters will deal with a corrupt FBI agent in the upcoming Fish Scaler episode. They will track down the agent who also framed a man for murder.
Of course, Mac will depend on his non-lethal weapons once again. In this episode, he finds a fish scaler and some fishing wire useful. The team will also have their first performance evaluation from Matty Webber (Meredith Eaton), the New Director of Operations at Phoenix Foundation.
MacGyver season 1 episode 14 is scheduled to air on February 3. Catch it in CBS at 8 p.m.
