Leslie Jones of Saturday Night Live promoted Timeless quite unabashedly. She has been very vocal in saying that the time-traveling show has been in her must-watch television list.
The actress said during the Weekend Update portion that fans should also watch out for the next episode. She said that she discovered that original inspiration for Lone Ranger was actually an African American man. She noted that in real life, an early black deputy U.S. marshal named Bass Reeves can be the closest possible inspiration for the character.
Next Episode To Show The Murder of Jesse James
Leslie Jones is talking about the Timeless’ new episode titled The Murder of Jesse James, which will air on Monday, January 23 on NBC. The next episode will also feature other historical figures. It will show the likes of illusionist Harry Houdini and serial killer H. H. Holmes. Wyatt and Rufus are set to go rogue as they will travel back to the 1980 to save Jesse James. Check out the synopsis of the episode in this link.
Colman Domingo will take on the role of Bass Reeves. He has been seen as Victor Strand in Fear the Walking Dead.
Prior to Leslie Jones’ promotion of the hit adventure-drama series, she has already tweeted a lot about the show.
“She’s been talking about it for weeks as one of the shows that is a part of her regular TV rotation,” Carter Matt noted in a report.
Leslie Jones May Join as a Cameo
Meanwhile, co-creator Eric Kripke has invited the actress for a possible cameo in the show. There has not been any confirmation if Leslie Jones will say yes, given her busy schedule for Saturday Night Live. Leslie Jones has also done a cameo for The Blacklist.
Catch Timeless on NBC every Monday at 10 pm. Its season 1 finale will be aired on February 20, Buddy TV said.
