Kingdom, a popular martial arts drama, has got a go-ahead signal for Season 3. The show’s renewal for the third time was announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. The air date for Kingdom Season 3 is also out.
When Season 2 ended, viewers saw how Ryan managed to get back his belt from an unhappy Jay. Moreover Christina took a big step for reconciliation with her elder son.
Season 3 May See a Clash between Jay and Ryan
A few months later, when Kingdom Season 3 gets aired, it will be definitely interesting to see if there will be another round of face-off between Jay and Ryan. Entertainment Weekly reported that Byron Balasco had earlier told that “it’s one and one” for them.
Season 3 may also showcase whether Alvey is up to her tricks or not and what lies ahead of Lisa. The showrunner could be also exploring the special fighting skills of the characters so that the fighting sequences can be given a new twist and made more interesting.
Star Cast for the Upcoming season
Kingdom Season 3 continues to have its impressive star cast in the form of Nick Jonas, Jonathan Tucker, Matt Lauria, Kiele Sanchez, Joanna Going and Frank Grillo, who will be seen reprising their characters.
The latest addition to the cast will be Kirk Acevedo, who will be portraying the role of a new coach with Navy St. and is also a former fighter.
Anticipation is building up for this martial arts drama, which managed to garner rave reviews earlier. It has got a tremendous fan following since the viewers could relate to the show’s characters quite well.
The show got an 8.4 rating on IMDB while Rotten Tomatoes gave it 88 percent approval. The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that Kiele Sanchez had teased, “This season, we dive into the fact that it is bigger and grander and it us more like, widespread.”
The premiere episode of Kingdom Season 3 will air at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 on AT&T U-verse. It will be also streamed on DIRECTTV NOW.
