Kid Flash and Jesse Quick Could be Getting Some Alone Time in The Flash Season 3

No new episode for The Flash season 3 airs tonight. However, love could linger in the air a week after Valentine’s Day when the series returns for episode 13.

A sneak peek for next week’s episode tease team Flash venturing to Gorilla City to rescue Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). However, although the promo heavily focuses on Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlyn (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton), the absence of Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) and Kid Flash/Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) also speaks volumes.

Apparently, the duo teams up for some action in Earth-1 while team Flash struggles to survive in Gorilla City. Part of next week’s episode synopsis reads, “Back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash hit the streets to stop a meta-human that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs.”

What’s in the Horizon for Jesse Quick and Kid Flash in The Flash Season 3

Aside from teaming up to stop a meta-human, it seems more will happen between Jesse and Wally in the upcoming episode. In particular, the series will show a progress in their relationship.

Lonsdale recently spoke with Cinema Blend about the episode tackling Gorilla City. The actor told the source:

“We’re going to be dealing with a few different things. First of all, we have to deal with our relationship and what that is and what it means. We have to deal with the fact that Wally is a speedster now, and how does Jesse feel about that? So there’s a lot of that dynamic to play through.”

There’s no telling if how long Jess extends her stay in Earth-1. On one hand, Cinema Blend thinks that it is only logical for both of them not to beat around the bush in developing their relationship. On the other hand, however, the source also notes that there are complications for their dynamic.

It remains to be seen how Jesse and Wally’s status evolves. However, the upcoming episode should clear out some things regarding where the duo stands.

Another Easter Egg is Coming

Jesse and Wally are not the only interesting elements of Attack on Gorilla City. It seems that another Easter egg is on the way.

According to Comic Book Movie, Tom Felton’s Julian will refer to Gorilla City as the Planet of the Apes. The actor starred in Rupert Wyatt’s film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The source details that this is not the first time the show dropped such Easter eggs. Many references already alluded to Felton’s role in Harry Potter as Draco Malfoy.

Fans do not have to wait long for all the excitement. The Flash season 3 episode 13 airs on February 21 at 8 p.m. in The CW.
