The recent death of Jimmy Snuka gave a huge impact to the wrestling industry. To commemorate this sad news, let us remember few memorable things about his past.

  1. According to TMZ, the Fijian wrestler participated for several promotions in his field from 1970 to 2010. He has two children, Tamina Snuka and Jimmy Reiher, who also entered the same industry as their father.
  2. Jimmy Snuka was known for his acrobatic fighting style. This is where he earned his title as Superfly. It can be remembered that his prominent signature move was called Superfly Splash. In addition, Heavy reported that his fight against Don Muraco in a steel cage earned him a lot of popularity as he leaps off 15ft from the top.
  3. Meanwhile, he first made his career at World Wrestling Federation in 1982. WWF is now known as WWE.
  4. His first induction in 1996 as WWE Hall of Famer was scrubbed from the WWE website. This is in connection to his involvement in a third-degree murder. When he was arrested in September 2015, all his long-term contracts were suspended.
  5. The said murder case was in line with the death of Snuka’s former girlfriend, Nancy Argentino. She died in 1983. Despite pleading non-guilty, the judge decided to dismiss the case. This was due to the 73-year-old wrestler’s incapability in standing trial.

The death of Jimmy Snuka

The cause of Snuka’s demise was stomach cancer. His death was reportedly peaceful at his home. On the other hand, after the first diagnosis of his disease, Superfly underwent surgery in 2015.

His death obviously resulted into success as his wife Carole Snuka stated:

“The doctors said he did very well. They are very happy with the outcome. He still has a long road ahead of him, and the doctor says he is an amazingly strong man. We all know how strong Jimmy is and Jimmy can take a beating. He also wants to let his fans know that he is not done yet.”

Therefore, it seems like Jimmy Snuka was blessed with almost two years after his surgery in 2015. But in the end, with Tamina Snuka and Jimmy Reiher, his wrestling legacy definitely has not ended.
