The CW has announced the renewal of its shows and Supernatural Season 13 is one of those.
Supernatural is getting eternal as it was renewed by CW for another season, according to Entertainment Weekly. Few shows have reached 10th season, and the American fantasy horror television series is gearing for more.
The show stars have already shared their excitement for Supernatural Season 13. Jensen Ackles thanked the fans for supporting the series for 12 years. Ackles has been known for playing the role of Dean Winchester since The CW series premiere in 2005.
Season 13, here we come!!! Thanks to all those who have kept us going this long…what a life changing ride it has been. #SPNFamily forever!
Jared Padalecki, who portrays Sam Winchester, congratulated the show for its season 13 renewal.
“Congratulations #SPNFamily … you did it 🙂 #SPN13”
Misha Collins, who plays angel Castiel, also posted a tweet of his reaction on Supernatural Season 13. Collins first appeared on the show’s fourth season.
“Everyone always disparages the number 13, but we feel pretty lucky to hit it. Thanks for making it happen, guys. #SPNFamily #SPNSeason13”
Why The CW Renewed Supernatural
Many thought the show will end in Season 12 since Ackles and his wife Danneel just welcomed their twins last December. Padalecki and Genevieve, on the other hand, are also expecting a baby girl this year. However, the actors have proven that their journey in television is not yet over like their characters in the show.
Throughout the series, Dean and Sam have defeated demons, monsters, evil supernatural creatures, and even angels. They have died and rose from the dead on several occasions. Their fans never lose hope on the Winchester boys. Celeb Mix noted that Supernatural has one of the shows that have the most loyal fanbase.
Moreover, fans love them because of the actors’ kindness that goes beyond the characters they play. Padalecki began the Always Keep Fighting campaign, which has raised thousands of dollars for charities. Collins founded the Random Acts. It is a non-profit organization that spread kindness and love with one act at a time.
When Supernatural was renewed for its 11th season in 2015, it became the longest-running fantasy series in the US. The show also continues to enjoy high ratings. It is CW’s fifth-highest rated show, closely following the four superhero series in the network. Supernatural Season 12 currently averaging a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic with nearly 1.80 million viewers.
