Things will get tense between VJ and Zac as the former will disown his stepfather over his infidelity in the upcoming episode of Home and Away 2017.
After the Evie-Matt wedding, Zac (Charlie Clausen) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) had a serious talk. He finally admitted to Leah that he cheated on her with his novel editor Sam Webster (Cheree Cassidy). Zac stressed that it happened only once and he regretted his action.
Devastated of Zac’s confession, Leah decided to leave Summer Bay for a while to have time alone for herself. VJ (Matt Little), on the other hand, is not aware of the rift between his mother and Zac. But the young father already noticed that Zac is acting strangely since Leah left.
In the upcoming episode of Home and Away 2017, VJ will finally understand everything when he finds out an email detailing Zac’s affair.
VJ will confront Zac and demand an explanation for his actions. Zac will ask for VJ’s forgiveness but the latter will tell Zac that he will never forgive him for what he has done to Leah and will throw him out of the house.
DigitalSpy cited Little’s interview with TV Week wherein he said VJ’s world falls apart after finding out about Zac’s infidelity. He also talked about how his character loses his trust on his stepdad. Little said:
“Zac and Leah are VJ’s only protection and his family, which is sacred to VJ. So on top of Billie’s death, to find out that one of those people was hurting the other, it breaks his world apart. His relationship with Zac shifts. He doesn’t look up to him as a father figure anymore. VJ just sees him as this broken man and doesn’t respect him.”
It seems like Zac’s son, Hunter (Scott Lee), will also find out about Zac’s affair with Sam. In the upcoming episode, even Hunter will struggle over his father’s unfaithful act.

As John (Shane Withington) shows determination to help the victims of the fire he started, the trial of his charges is about to start as well. John is facing charges of one count of arson causing death and five counts of arson resulting in property damage and injury.
His wife, Marilyn (Emily Symons), will call Morag Bellingham (Cornelia Frances) to defend him for the Summer Bay bushfires, DigitalSpy noted in a separate report. Morag defended Zac last year when he was wrongly arrested on suspicion of killing Hunter’s mother, Charlotte King.
