Troubled teen Hunter King (Scott Lee) will become the prime suspect in the recent bush fire in Home and Away 2017. What led him to such predicament?

Policewoman Kat Chapman (Pia Miller) earlier uncovered that the bush fire is not an accident and it is connected to the series of fires in Summer Bay. However, she has yet to figure out who started it all. As the course of the investigation rolled, Hunter’s name came up.

Kat learns that Hunter was missing around the time of the fire at the music festival and she suspects he might be the one who started it all. Hunter also went missing while looking for Olivia who got trapped in the fire. Digital Spy cited a TV Week report stating Kat will tell MacGuire (Philippa Northeast) that she is going to start investigating Hunter’s involvement.

Meanwhile, Back to the Bay wrote that Evie will help Kat in the investigation. The publication also teased that the police will bring in a suspect for questioning next week. Will it be Hunter or will John Palmer (Shane Withington) finally admit to the crime?

Viewers have known that Palmer– the most trusted stalwart in the Bay–is actually the man responsible for the fire. Meanwhile, he already found his wife, Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) in the woods but she sustained serious burns.

In October 2016, Back to the Bay reported that the Aussie soap shot some scenes at the Yabbie Creek Courthouse in the Hawkesbury region wherein John was seen clad in a suit and in handcuffs. John and Marilyn were also spotted filming at the Palm Beach but she appeared to have some burn injuries while John and Ash are having an argument outside the surf club.

Hunter King’s Past and Future in Home and Away

The suspicion that Hunter might be the one who started the fire stemmed from almost the same incident in 2015. Hunter admitted starting a fire at his father’s house.

Hunter’s past had been a troubled one. He once broke into the diner and stole a safe. However, in the process he knocked over a bucket of water, causing Marilyn to suffer from a serious electric shock.

He left Summer Bay when he found out that her mother, Charlotte, killed Denny Miller (Jessica Grace Smith). However, Hunter came back at the Bay after Charlotte died.

Lee earlier confirmed that he is leaving Home and Away 2017 by the end of the year. He plans to pursue his acting career in the US.

Don’t miss Home and Away 2017 from Monday to Thursday at 7 p.m. on Seven Network in Australia. In the UK, the soap airs during weekdays over at Channel 5 at 1:15 p.m. and 6 p.m.
