Gus Firing is coming in Better Call Saul Season 3.
Fans have been clamoring for Breaking Bad characters to appear in the show’s spinoff. Aside from Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), fans would also love to see Gus Fring in the prequel.
Los Pollos Hermanos owner Gus Fring has been known as the terrifying drug kingpin in Emmy-winning Breaking Bad. The role has been played by Giancarlo Esposito. The veteran actor is expected to make his debut when the Breaking Bad prequel returns soon.
Better Call Saul executive producer Peter Gould is keeping details of Fring’s appearance under wraps but hinted that fans will be “tickled pink” by what they will see. “This season starts off with a bang. There’s so much rip-roaring conflict in the season. It really goes to a new level,” he says.
Gould adds the world of cartel member Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) will be highly featured this season as well.
What would be Jimmy’s fate in Better Call Saul Season 3?
A sneak peek for Season 3 hints Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) could be going to jail. Is this the beginning of his transformation into Saul Goodman?
The teaser showed Jimmy having a mug shot. Although it is not clear what charges he will be facing, it could have something to do with the events of Season 2 finale. At the end of the previous season, Jimmy confessed to his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) that he did alter the legal documents of Mesa Verde so that his girlfriend Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) could get them as clients. What Jimmy doesn’t know, Chuck recorded their conversation. Now, his brother has evidence that Jimmy committed a crime.
Moreover, Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) also failed to assassinate Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis) in Season 2 finale. Mike was interrupted by the blaring horn from his car with a message etched on the windshield that simply reads, “Don’t.”
Better Call Saul Season 3 is expected to premiere sometime in spring 2017.
