What could be the secret identity that Jo Wilson has been hiding all this time? The latest “Grey’s Anatomy” season 13 spoilers might just have an answer for that.
Camilla Luddington, the actress who gives life to the mysterious medical practitioner’s character, teased about her past that has influenced her present situation.
Was this past so dark that she needed to hide it from her colleagues? How bad could it possibly be? Does this have something to do with her holding back from her supposed marriage to Alex Karev (Justin Chambers)?
Jo Wilson’s Past
Prior to the most recent “Grey’s Anatomy” season 13 spoilers, it can be recalled that at the end of season 12, Jo divulged her deepest secret to Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). She said she is still married and had a violent husband forcing her to change her name.
Will her fiancé Alex finally know her real name and identity?
Jo Wilson’s Past Still a Mystery
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress admitted that her character in the medical drama is still a mystery even to her.
“I still don’t know her name!” she said. “I keep waiting for her to say it. If Alex [Justin Chambers] asks, I think he’d be the one person she’d tell, so I wish he did.”
As she continued to dish more “Grey’s Anatomy” season 13 spoilers, Luddington noted that she herself is curious on the reason why she opted for “Jo” as her new name.
“Was there significance for her? I like to think she grew up reading Little Women and loved Jo March, who is one of my favorite headstrong female characters, and took it from that,” she added. “But that’s just me fantasizing about the reason why. I’m excited for the episode that really answers it all.”
Jo and Andrew
While talking to TV Line earlier this month, “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner Shonda Rhimes talked about the possibility of Andrew developing her feelings for Jo.
The 46-year-old TV producer, however, said that his feeling for her might have no label yet.
