The 34-year-old Gabriel Luna might be busy on his acting career this year. Aside from being the new Ghost Rider for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series, he will also star as the main character in the upcoming TV show, Dark/Web.
While his role in the Marvel series must be challenging enough, playing for the new thriller show might also be exciting. Meanwhile, Buffy the Vampire Slayer alums Nicholas Brendan and Clare Kramer will also be there.
Before digging deeper into the horror/thriller anthology series, Luna said in his interview with Screen Rant that he has been aiming for the portrayal of Ghost Rider. He also hints for a possible spinoff.
Is there more for Ghost Rider?
“It’s been talked about, there’s definitely deals in place for that potential. But I just take it one day at a time. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well,” he explained.
He also states the possibility of him appearing in different platforms as the Ghost Rider. “I don’t have a preference. People talk about ‘Ah man he’d be great as a feature,’ which is [an] idea too… It could be in the cinema, it could live on Netflix, whatever it is.” While his role in the Marvel Universe is just starting to linger on fans, Luna’s inclusion in Dark/Web shows a different acting capacity.
As for the details regarding the upcoming new series, Slash Film notes that the story is like revealing the dangers of using the Internet. The official synopsis seems promising, and the eight episodes might thrill the audience in the most surprising way.
