The How to Get Away with Murder season 3 finale is almost here. With the show’s history of resolving all unanswered questions by the end of the season, fans will most certainly learn the identity of Wes’ killer in the two-part season-ender.
Previous episodes of the season made it look like anyone could have murdered Wes (Alfred Enoch). The most recent reveal placed the suspect’s spotlight above Connor’s (Jack Falahee) head.
Since the Keating 4 learned about Wes’ death, Connor did not hold back in suggesting that it was Annalise who did it. He was the only one among their group of friends who did not grieve.
Episode 13 finally revealed that Connor was actually at the house when Wes died. The flashback showed that he was hovering over Wes’ unconscious form. However, it seems like he was reviving his friend instead of killing him.
Given that the flashback was brief, it is hard to tell whether Connor is guilty or not. However, showing him at the end scene of last episode could mean he’s not responsible.
A discussion from TV Fanatic offered that the show may not reveal Wes’ killer before its finale. Hence, since the previous episode placed Connor at the scene of the crime, he may not be the real culprit.
Following this logic, Nate and Frank could also be relieved of suspicion. Flashbacks showed both men met Wes a few hours before his death. Consequently, remaining members of the Keating 4 and Oliver could also be innocent since their whereabouts prior to Wes’ death are accounted for.
How to Get Away with Murder Season 3 Suspect Pool
With most of the main characters out of the way, the suspect pool is an uncertain bunch. The season really did not reveal a good reason why someone would want Wes dead.
The exception to this is the Mahoneys. Hence, they are at the top of the suspects list. Did the ice queen mother of Charles Mahoney discovered that Wes was her husband’s son from another woman?
Although it seems low to have someone murdered for his DNA, Mama Mahoney could have another reason for the hit. Her son Charles is in jail for murder and Wes is the eye witness placing him at the scene of the crime. Hence, holding a grudge for her husband’s bastard son may have driven her to the edge.
A list by The Celebrity Cafe also have the Mahoneys as number one on the suspect list. However, the person second on the ranking is more surprising. According to the source, it could be Meggy Travers.
Although highly unlikely, the source emphasizes that no one is trustworthy in How to Get Away with Murder season 3. The Celebrity Cafe details, “…Meggy seems like the nicest girl in town. On TGIT, though, everyone’s a suspect. Meggy’s been lingering ever since Wes was killed and we think this scorned lover may have a reason.”
Do you think Meggy has what it takes to kill Wes? If not, who do you think is Wes’ killer? Share your theories before the How to Get Away with Murder season 3 finale airs this Thursday in ABC.
