CBS’ new ordered pilot Wisdom of the Crowd finds its leads in Game of Thrones actress Natalia Tena and Jake Matthews. Both stars will headline the pilot alongside Jeremy Piven.

The announcement of the order came last February. At the time, the report from Variety only detailed the involvement of Ted Humphrey. The writer and executive producer’s other credits include The Good Wife, Shark and Dr. Vegas, among others.

Joining Humphrey in fulfilling executive producer duties are Alon Shtruzman, Avi Nir, Dror Mishani, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan and Shira Hadad. Consequently, Variety describes the pilot’s premise as follows:

“Based on the Israeli television series of the same name, “Wisdom of the Crowd” is described as telling the story of a tech innovator who, inspired by the notion that a million minds are better than one, creates a cutting edge crowdsourcing hub to solve his own daughter’s murder, as well as revolutionizing crime solving in San Francisco.”

Natalia Tena played Osha for seasons 1, 2, 3 and 6 in Game of Thrones. The character met her end when Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) stabbed her in the season 6 episode titled Book of the Stranger.

Tena is also notable for her role as Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter films. She first appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, then later on reprised her role for Half-Blood Prince and both parts of Deathly Hallows.

Game of Thrones Updates

Game of Thrones season 7 won’t premiere until July. However, series showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss finally broke their silence about the rumored spin-off for the show.

The Independent reports that the showrunners won’t be involved with the potential prequel or sequel. Speaking at the SXSW in Austin, Texas, the source quoted Benioff as saying:

“There’s always going be an urge — the characters who maybe will survive — there’s always going to be this temptation to keep doing it; to do the spin-off show or do the sequel show and everything. And I think HBO might well do one and I’m looking forward to watching it. [But] I think it’s better for them to get new blood in with new visions.”

Still, although a strong possibility, no official order has been released for a GoT spinoff. For now, all fans can do is wait for Game of Thrones season 7 which premieres on July 16.
