Another Game of Thrones season 7 actor revealed clues about the upcoming season. This time, the cast member’s statement points to a number of characters coming together.
The actor in question is none another than Liam Cunningham who plays Ser Davos Seaworth. After serving Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), he later proves to be an integral consultant to Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) reign as King of the North in Winterfell.
Speaking to IGN, the actor reveals that characters who never met on the show before could come together in season 7. Although the statement does not give anything away, it offers some clues. The actor told the source:
“The progress of the show with the White Walkers and all that stuff, it’s pretty obvious nobody’s going to be able to take this force on on their own. So when we’ve had all these, for all these seasons, disparate stories come from disparate ends of Westeros, it has been – and it’s been signaled from the end of last season – that there’s a lot of people and situations going to be coming together.”
One of the clues from the actor’s statement is his comment about the White Walkers. Fans already know that the threat of these creatures is one of the series’ end games. Hence, Cunningham’s statement emphasizes the gravity of their existence.
Furthermore, talking about the White Walker’s “force” also reveals how big the impact of their appearance is on the remaining seasons. Will the Walkers be very strong that it will bring the Lannisters and Starks together?
At this point, it seems unlikely. However, with the TV series surpassing its source material there’s really no way to tell.
Game of Thrones Season 7 and Unlikely Alliances
Game of Thrones season 7 spoilers already revealed that the upcoming season will feature Dany (Emilia Clarke) and Jon’s first meeting. Consequently, since Cunningham’s character is also in Winterfell, he could be talking about sharing a scene with Clarke.
However, it is important to note that there are also other characters Ser Davos haven’t met yet. Most of these characters hail from King’s Landing, while others are also moving from place to place. There’s just a long list of characters who may be forming alliances.
Do you think the threat of the White Walkers is so grave that the Lannisters and Starks will unite? More so, won’t Dany’s dragons be enough that she instead turns to Cersei (Lena Headey) for help? Share your Game of Thrones season 7 theories in the comments below.
