Game of Thrones Season 7 Actor Teases How Epic The Next Episodes Will Be

Game of Thrones season 7

Game of Thrones season 7 fans already know that every new season of the series is epic. However, one of the show’s actors was more than willing to share what’s in store for next season.

Speaking to Radio Times, actor Iain Glen details that people behind GoT are taking their time in producing the upcoming episodes. Glen plays Ser Jorah Mormont, who last appeared obeying orders from the Khaleesi to find cure for greyscale. The source quotes the actor as saying:

“They are taking the length of time it takes to shoot ten episodes to shoot just seven this year and six next year. There are fifteen more hours left in Thrones as we understand it… I think the scale and size of the set pieces, the world that is being created it’s just getting more and more extraordinary and they feel they need that time to shoot seven hours as opposed to ten.”

Producers of the show previously expressed that the series will end with season 8, likely with eight episodes. However, despite excitement surrounding the previous season, the show is heading to unknown territory. This after Game of Thrones finally caught up with the source material.

The potential path Game of Thrones season 7 may take

Despite few details known about the season 7, coverage of the show’s production allowed fans to theorize on where the story may head.

For one, set photos taken by fans revealed that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will finally meet. This led many to believe that the two may join forces in defeating Cersei. Consequently, when she loses the Iron Throne, fan theories point to Jon and Dany uniting against the bigger threat of White Walkers.

Since these are all just theories, it’s best to take them with a grain of salt for now.

Another big reveal brought by set photos confirmed Gendry’s (Joe Dempsie) return. As per a report from Independent back in October, Robert Baratheon’s bastard son helps Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) fend off a group of men. It’s uknown how he’ll tie up with the story, but fans are hoping events will lead him to meet with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) again.
