A trailer was recently released for the upcoming period drama titled Frontier. Jason Momoa will be seen in a major role and the show is set to premiere on January 20 on Netflix.
A new drama will soon be streaming on Netflix with Jason Momoa portraying the role of Declan Harp. The plot will showcase how ghastly the fur trade in Canada was in the 18th century.
Declan Harp is a Character Without Conscience
Incidentally, Momoa is also the executive producer of the show. His character, Declan Harp is an ex-employee of the Hudson Bay Company.
According to geek, viewers will see how Momoa’s character in Frontier treads with ease while operating on what appears to be a violent ground. The show has been previously aired on Discovery Channel in Canada and has got the green signal for Season 2.
Variety reported that Harp is a part-Irish and part-Native outlaw from America who fights his way through the fur trade. The season will have six episodes in total and will revolve around the power struggle for influence and wealth in one of the first industries of America.
The promo clip seems to hint that Harp is a cruel killer who abandons even his old employer, Hudson Bay Company. Though the trailer does not reveal the exact plot details, Harp appears to be at loggerhead with everybody around him. It is evident that he can be quite violent.
“I wan’t you to do me a favor,” Momoa asks of an off-screen character. “I want you to run on home and I want you to tell them — you tell them I’m here.”
Other stars in the show include Allan Hawco, Zoe Boyle, Jessica Matten, Landon Liboiron and Alun Armstrong. Viewers can expect several story-lines since each character seems to have a unique agenda- be it revenge, survival or personal gain.
Frontier will premiere on January 20 on Netflix.
