David Smithyman, the writer of Fresh Off the Boat, revealed his favorite moments from an episode penned by him. The episode is titled Clean Slate.
A new report from Entertainment Weekly suggests that Fresh Off the Boat writer, David Smithyman shared his thoughts about the new episode of the show. Apparently, the title of the new episode was inspired by the Chinese New Year tradition of the Huang family.
David Smithyman Reveals FOTB Spoilers
According to the outlet, the Taiwanese American family comedy TV series gives the fans some information about their behind the scenes. Smithyman also shares some spoilers about the new episode of FOTB.
The writer says, “since last season’s Chinese New Year episode covered the many traditions of Chinese New Year, this year we wanted to try a different approach: take one element of the Lunar New Year and try to tell a story about how it affects each of the Huangs differently.”
Smithyman states that he and the rest of the crew of the show wanted the characters to clean their slate for the New Year. He wanted to give the audience a different approach when it comes to the Lunar New Year by the Huangs.
He even shares that Jessica and Emery will be cloning each other’s personalities in the upcoming episode. He promises that the audience will see a great and funny show.
Jessica will be also pushing the whole family to pay their debts, disputes and settle grudges. Broadway World unveils that she thinks doing so will ensure their family good luck and fortune. In the meantime, Louis and Evan will also be seen to go on a wild goose chase, while Eddie will be forced to entertain his lame relative.
Fresh Off The Boat airs every Wednesday on the ABC network.
