The Flash and Supergirl musical crossover will feature The Music Meister as the villain. However, it is not yet clear whether Neil Patrick Harris will reprise the role in the upcoming crossover.

The news about who will be the villain in the musical crossover was finally revealed by executive producer Greg Berlanti at the Television Critics Association press tour.

The Music Meister to Be the Villain in The Flash and Supergirl Musical Crossover

The character Music Meister, that was created for the animated series The Batman: The Brave and the Bold, has the power to control his opponents through songs. Harris voiced the character in the animated series titled Mayhem of the Music Meister.

Berlanti revealed the villain of The Flash and Supergirl musical crossover while speaking to reporters on Sunday at the TCA press tour about his upcoming drama Riverdale.

“It is going to be the Music Meister,” he said. “We’re finishing writing the script this weekend.”

IGN reported that fans have wondered whether a live-action version of the character would fit the plot. This was since the musical crossover was announced. Coming to the possibility of Harris playing the role of The Music Meister in the upcoming crossover, Berlanti said, “We haven’t gone about casting it yet. But it’s the right question, though.”

Andrew Kreisberg, The Flash and Supergirl‘s executive producer, also reflected a similar stance on the casting of Harris in the role.

The Flash and Supergirl Musical Crossover: The Musical Talent of the Cast

Grant Gustin and Jesse L. Martin along with almost the entire cast of The Flash possess musical talents. Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan are among the Supergirl cast who can sing, the Entertainment Weekly reported.

He said that he hears Benoist sing all the time. But this time, according to him, the viewers will get a taste of her musical talents.

He added, “As much as we hope these shows speak to people, whether socially or Alex’s storyline and what it means to people, at the end of the day we’re trying to entertain people. … To be able to do a musical episode is so exciting to us.”
