The Firestorm is back! Ronnie Raymond will appear in The Flash season 3.
Robbie Amell will return in The CW superhero series this season. Although details for the actor’s return remain under wrap, he will appear in one of the show’s winter episode, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The Flash viewers have seen Ronnie died in several ways. The late husband of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) was initially thought dead after the particle accelerator explosion in season 1. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his team later learned that he survived the explosion. However, Ronnie has been transformed into a metahuman known as Firestorm with Martin Stein (Victor Garber) when they found him.
Ronnie died in season 1 finale when he sacrificed himself to destroy the singularity that opened up the Earth to another world. In season 2, Jefferson Jackson (Franz Drameh) became Stein’s other half. However, Firestorm reappeared in the previous season as villainous doppelganger from another universe, named Deathstorm. Zoom (Teddy Sears) killed Deathstorm after he and Killer Frost hurt The Flash.
What Character Will Amell Play in The Flash Season 3?
Since both Firestorm and Deathstorm were dead, there is no certainty which character will Amell play. Both could be resurrected and the actor may portray either one of them once again. It is also possible that since The Flash has been speeding away in several multiverses, Amell could return in a brand new character from another universe.
Fans of The Flash have known that several characters from the previous installments have reappeared this season either in a different timeline or as doppelgänger from Earth 2. Either way, fans are thrilled to see Amell again.

Meanwhile, another character will be introduced this season as the adventure of team Flash continues.
Sleepy Hollow star Jessica Camacho is joining the cast as the new STAR Labs ally Gypsy. Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) earlier teased that Gypsy will play a key role in helping Cisco control his unpredictable Vibe powers, DigitalSpy noted.
The Flash season 3 will return from its mid-season finale on Jan. 24 at 8 P.M. ET in The CW.
