Supergirl season 2 episode 14 will feature a family reunion as Jeremiah Danvers returns from Cadmus. However, it will not be a happy one for Kara and Alex.
Entertainment Weekly revealed Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain) will return in Supergirl season 2 episode 14. Undoubtedly, his return is a happy event for both Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh).
Yet it also raised questions since he has been away for more than a decade. Fans will recall Jeremiah’s resistance to leaving Cadmus after Kara rescued him.
Supergirl Season 2 Episode 14 Synopsis
The synopsis from TV Guide for Supergirl season 2 episode 14 Homecoming reveals details about the reunion and suspicion surrounding Jeremiah’s return. The synopsis reads:
Alex and Kara are thrilled to have their father, Jeremiah Danvers, back after he’s rescued from Cadmus. The Danvers arrange a family dinner to celebrate, but things go awry when a suspicious Mon-El starts to question Jeremiah about his sudden return.
Mon-El (Chris Wood) was the first to question if they could trust Jeremiah. Consequently, it left the sisters divided on how they felt about their dad coming home.
Leigh’s character is just so happy to have him back so she is certain he is innocent. Kara, on the other hand, is a bit more cautious and wants to ask more questions.
While his return raises doubts, this time provides the perfect opportunity for Alex and Kara to bring home their respective mates to meet their father.
Alex is nervous, as it has been awhile since she saw her father. Moreover, it is the first time he will find out she is gay and has a girlfriend.
Yet it would seem Alex has nothing to fear, as Jeremiah’s reaction was reportedly wonderful. Thus, it promises to be a moment fans will applaud.
Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher Back Together in Supergirl?
With the return of Dean Cain’s character in Supergirl season 2 episode 14, can fans look forward to a scene between him and his former Lois & Clark co-star Teri Hatcher?
Interestingly, they could. Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently teased about a plan to make it happen. However, Screen Rant clarified that the statement of Kreisberg at a previous press event for the superhero series is not yet an official promise or confirmation for it. Nonetheless, the possibility remains due to the proven creativity of Arrowverse writers to reference the comic books and its previous adaptations.
Teri Hatcher reportedly plays the big bad villain in the SuperWorld. Early spoilers about her character tease of a possible connection to Jeremiah and project Cadmus. Hence, it raised the curiosity of fans to see both actors onscreen again even if in different roles.
