Arrow season 6 is happening! Moreover, rumors are rife about its possible reboot to mark its fresh start.
Indeed, fans of the superhero drama series can look forward to the arrival of Arrow season 6. The CW network recently confirmed this during the Winter TCA tour. However, the network has yet to announce the Arrow season 6 air date.
To date, fans await its mid-season premiere happening on January 25. Indeed, episode 10 titled Who Are You? promises a lot of action as reports hint at a confrontation between Green Arrow and Prometheus.
Changes to Come with Arrow season 6 Renewal
Den of Geek seemed to express the opinion of many fans who felt the superhero drama series had gotten lost among the network’s other series. Indeed, some might have thought Arrow had run its course.
However, the show is not going away. Moreover, the Arrow season 6 renewal could signal its rebirth. This is likely considering the current season is catching up to how the series started.
Moreover, the arrival of new cast members with heroes and villains has helped boost the show’s status. Indeed, sources believe it brought back Arrow’s former glory. A notable addition is the character of Prometheus. Many also anticipate the entry of Talia al Ghul. Both characters have a connection to Oliver’s past.
For the past five years, fans had come to expect and at times dislike the flashback sequences. As Comic Book notes, it often takes place in every episode.
Hence, news of Arrow season 6 confirmed could mean an end to this method of storytelling. To a certain extent, executive producer Marc Guggenheim gave fans this reassurance.
“Last year, when we sort of realized we’re going to go past Season 5, we basically made a collective decision that Season 5 would be the final year of flashbacks. Next year, in Season 6, what we’ll end up doing is we’ll do some episodes without any sort of flashbacks.”
“We’ve [also] established over the first four seasons of proof of concept that we can do flashback stories that don’t involve what I call the island narrative, even when he’s not on the island,” Guggenheim said.
