The appearance of Bullseye in Daredevil season 3 could possibly happen if the series chooses to copy his return to the comic book. Will we see the villain come to life?
Charlie Cox himself revealed his interest to see Bullseye make his entry into the Daredevil season 3 cast. Indeed, the actor is quite vocal about this character making an appearance in the series.
Cox said he could not imagine doing the series without Bullseye entering the picture at some point in time. Yet, how could his wish possibly come true?
Bullseye Returns to Daredevil Comic Book
Interestingly, Daredevil fans get to meet Bullseye again in the comic book. Apparently, the character is part of the new arc titled The Seventh Day. Daredevil #15 is currently available on stands.
His re-entry into the comics precedes his own miniseries. Bullseye also appears in Daredevil #16.
Daredevil comic book writer Charles Soule talks to NewsaRama about Bullseye. Moreover, he reveals what makes the character’s return special this time around.
“I really tried to make this appearance feel special. Bullseye speaks only one word across the two issues (he says “Bullseye”), and all of Daredevil #16 takes place in the span of time between him pulling the trigger on his rifle and the bullet hitting Daredevil. And as we know, Bullseye never misses,” Soule said.
“#16 is extremely personal for me, and went through more drafts than comic scripts usually do – I tried to give it everything I have. It looks at faith, and the endless battle of good and evil, and light things like that. We’ll see how readers respond, but I think it’s one of the best single issues I’ve ever written,” Soule added.
Could Daredevil Season 3 Follow Suit?
It is uncertain if the Daredevil season 3 villain would be Bullseye. However, given the history between the two characters, his entry could be an interesting story arc to pursue.
Indeed, he is one character who successfully hurt Matt Murdock where it meant the most. As Soule said, Bullseye took away the two great loves of Daredevil, namely Elektra and Karen Page.
