Fox premieres its latest reality show My Kitchen Rules on Thursday January 12 at 9 p.m. One contestant reveals her experiences before its debut.

My Kitchen Rules USA takes inspiration from its Australian counterpart of the same name. The series features dinner parties hosted by each pair of contestants for the others and the judges.

Latina describes FOX’s foray into the reality kitchen TV series as The Real World intersects with Top Chef. Hence, expect drama. Moreover, look forward to serious cooking competition from each celebrity pair.

Meet the My Kitchen Rules Cast

The cast of My Kitchen Rules America will pit celebrity duos against one another. Each celebrity duo hosts a dinner party intended to outshine their kitchen rivals. Moreover, it should impress the two judges who will join them for the evening.

Two celebrity chefs have the distinction as the My Kitchen Rules judges namely Cat Cora and Curtis Stone. The five pairs in the competition are Valerie Vasquez and her husband actor/comedian Andrew Dice Clay.

Joining them are singer Brandy and her brother Ray J, Lance Bass and his mother Diane, Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet a cookbook author and Naomi Judd with her husband Larry.

Parade confirms the country singer and her husband’s participation in My Kitchen Rules. This is despite earlier reports she dissed a number of her co-stars in the upcoming FOX reality series.

What to Expect from My Kitchen Rules

Valerie Vasquez dished out on some of her experiences while filming. While she cannot reveal much about the show’s outcome, she does give a sneak peek into what fans can expect.

“There was definitely some drama on that show, though. I think when people compete, it’s just going to naturally happen. I got competitive, but it didn’t create anything with any of the other duos, but I think some stuff happened with other people,” Valerie said. Hence, her revelation of how the stress people watch on TV is real.

“100% true! Maybe the fact that I’ve had no TV experience added to it, but it almost makes your stomach completely turn! You want to do good, for all the people that aren’t in the situation – for all your family and friends watching, you know, you don’t want to turn anyone down. And that was just happening naturally,” she added.
