Connie Britton Promises Her Appearance in Duration of Nashville Season 5 Amid Exit Rumors

Connie Britton is not going anywhere. She will still appear in Nashville Season 5 despite exit rumors.

The actress assured the viewers during an appearance in the latest Ellen DeGeneres episode that she will be in for the duration of the new CMT show. There have been rumors that she will leave the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC cancelled the show after four long seasons. Fortunately, the show has been transferred to its new network.

While the showrunners are yet to reveal the reason, Britton stated that Nashville Season 5 will be “what it was all about.” She said that the upcoming episodes would be “exciting”.

She also revealed that the storylines are from the new showrunners Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick. “I have seen in so many ways in my life the power that a unified voice can have,” she said about ABC cancelling the show. “The fans were just not going to have it.”

On the other hand, TV Line reported that actors Luke Wheeler and Layla Grant would be leaving the show. Meanwhile, there will be recurring artists which include Joseph David-Jones as Clay, Rhiannon Giddens as Hallie Jordan, Jen Richards as Allyson Del Lago and Cameron Scoggins as Zach Welles.
