Sherlock Season 4

Sherlock Season 4 Episode 2 titled The Lying Detective was filled with the most surprising revelation. But despite this, there is one thing that turned out good, the reconciliation between Sherlock and Dr. John. Warning for major spoilers ahead!

Eurus Holmes Is the Master of Disguise!

During the episode 2 of Season 4, viewers were able to confirm that Sherlock and Mycroft indeed have another sibling – their one and only sister, Eurus Holmes. All this time she has been hiding in plain sight.

In Episode 1, she portrayed as E, the woman who flirted with John even before Mary died. And for the second episode, she also disguises as Faith Culverton. This is the reason why Sherlock was led into the Culverton case.

Meanwhile, after that, she continuously disguised as John’s new therapist. It was very unfortunate that in the final scene she confesses to John and threatens him with a gun. Just like her brothers, Eurus is incredibly intelligent and expectedly a master of disguise.

What’s Ahead in Sherlock Season 4

Speculations have been doing rounds all over the internet stating that Eurus is possibly Sherrinford. Some say she works with the latter. According to Den of Geek, the name Eurus means the Greek god of east wind.

It can be remembered that east wind has been something Sherlock and Mycroft mumbles about in Season 3. During the previous season’s finale titled His Last Vow Sherlock told John:

“The East Wind takes us all in the end… It is a story my brother told me when we were kids. The East Wind – this terrifying force lays waste to all in its path. It seeks out the unworthy and plucks them from the earth…That was generally me.”

Eventually, Mary also asked John if Moriarity is back. And he answered that if he is, Moriarty should dress warmly because there is an east wind coming. Therefore, several clues have been earnestly dropped pertaining Eurus’ return.

Moreover, there are only a few clues about Eurus’ connection to Sherrinford. Viewers will all find that out when the series returns for the third episode on Sunday.

In addition, Carter Matt reports that The Lying Detective has achieved the lowest TV ratings in United Kingdom. But in the end, it does not seem to be the biggest problem for now in Sherlock Season 4.
