Chopper and AP-5 Play Spies in Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Episode 19
According to ComingSoon.Net, the start of Star Wars Rebels season 3 episode 19 shows Chopper and AP-5 breaking into an Imperial station. Their mission, to steal the necessary codes.
However, cameras quickly caught their covert operation. Moreover, an Imperial technician took an interest in Chopper’s unique appearance and ability.
He concluded the C1 astromech was the same droid referenced by Grand Admiral Thrawn in a memo about the rebels of Phoenix Squadron. As such, he intends to get whatever he can from Chopper before alerting the station.
Based on the second preview for Star Wars Rebels season 3 episode 19, it would appear the Imperial specialist managed to carry out his plan. Upon returning to the Ghost crew, Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) and Garazeb Orrelios (Steve Blum) laughed at the idea of droid’s spy games.
However, AP-5 (Stephen Stanton) said it was not a game. Moreover, the droid raised concerns about the behavior of Chopper after handing the secret codes to Capt. Hera (Vanessa Marshall).
Hera decides to look for Chopper. Eventually, she finds him in the hyperspace logs. When asked what it was all about, Chopper gives a reason.
Nevertheless, it would appear the captain was not buying it. Hence, her reminder to the droid about her job to wipe its data clean after every jump as a security precaution.
Hera then offers the droid a power recharge to help him remember. However, this prompted Chopper to leave the room immediately.
Implications of Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Episode 19 Double Agent Droid
With only a few episodes remaining in Star Wars Rebels season 3, it might seem strange for the story to shift its focus on Chopper. Then again, it could very well be significant to the upcoming finale.
According to the Dork Side of the Force, Chopper might be the way by which Thrawn figures out the rebels’ location based on the information the droid hijacks.
