Marvel productions have the reputation of being very secretive. However, it appears a recent casting call may have revealed Avengers Infinity War spoilers.
An article from Uproxx relays interesting casting calls for different groups of people in the upcoming Avengers film. The source quotes Backstage.com which lists what characteristics the film is looking for.
It appears the Infinity War set is in need of aliens, Vikings and warrior women. The casting call offers the following extras description:
Aliens (Background/Extra) Males & Females, 18-50. Tall, slender or athletic build. Must be comfortable being painted (including on your face & any exposed body parts). All ethnicities.
Vikings (Background/Extra) Males & Females, 18-59. Especially looking for men with long hair & beards. Must be comfortable with fake blood and possibly special effects make-up. Caucasian.
Warrior Woman (Background/Extra) Female, 20-39. Athletic build, 5’9”-5’11”, waist 26-28, hips 37-39. Looking for someone with a high top fade or willing to cut hair on just the sides and wear a wig. African-American.
What These Avengers Infinity War Spoilers Could Mean
Given these, Uproxx surmises that Avengers Infinity War will encompass scenes in Asgard, space and Wakanda. Although not a major spoiler, the different settings reveal just how large the movie will cover.
Avengers Infinity War appears as some sort of endgame for the number of Marvel films that debuted so far. Hence, with Thanos finally emerging as the film’s villain, massive destruction is imminent. Consequently, since the confirmed heroes are in different parts of the universe, it will take a major event to unite them.
It would then make sense if Thanos will cause chaos among these different locations. With the catalyst in place, it won’t take long for the heroes to group together and decide to fight Thanos.
Avengers Infinity War spoilers previously revealed the ultimate cast list for the film. Original Avengers Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will all return for the film.
Avengers newcomers Scarlet Witch (Elzabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will also join the group. Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Starlord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) are also part of the lineup.
With the large cast and massive story line, Bleeding Cool News reports that Infinity War could be the most expensive film made. The film will gain this title if it indeed proceeds with a $1 billion budget.
